MSAD #37 Adult & Community Education

Introduction to Welding

with Daniel Ferden

$225

This welding class covers the basics and is for the do-it-yourself welder. Students learn about the different welding processes (oxy-acetylene, stick, M.I.G. and T.I.G.) and get hands-on experience with those techniques. See how the characteristics of metal change as we weld them, i.e. heat treating. Safety is a priority and students are instructed in safety procedures.  This class will earn you a certificate of completion; please note that this is not an industry recognized certificate, but the instructor will provide information on testing for certifications.  Please bring a welding jacket, welding gloves, and a pair of safety glasses.  You can get a discount at AirGas Supply in Bangor if you mention that you are part of the MSAD #37 Adult Education class.  Please wear appropriate footwear (leather, steel toed) and clothing.  You may also want to bring a water bottle.

You must be age 18 or older to attend this class.
